Cooked rice-3 cups
Carrot- 1/2 cup ( cubed)
Beans- 10 no
Tamarind - lemon size ( soaked)
Tuvar dal-1 cup (cooked)
Mustard seed-1 tsp
Fenugreek seed-1 tsp
Channa dal- 1tsp
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Sambar powder-2 tbsp ( Acc to taste)
Multi purpose powder-1 tbsp
Coriander leaves-3 tbsp
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed, fenugreek seed, channa dal, & allow to temper.
Add curry leaves, shallots & sauté for few seconds.
Add all vegetables one by one & mix well.
Squeeze the tamarind to extract 3 cups of tamarind pulp.
Add tamarind pulp, sambar powder & salt.
Allow to boil until vegetables are cooked well.
Add multi purpose powder & mix well.
Add cooked tuvar dal & allow to boil.
Add cooked rice & mix well in a medium flame.
Add coriander leaves & mix well.
Serve hot with raitha or papad.
